Salvia adenophora       15383

C'est un arbuste aux longues branches molles, couvertes de poils glanduleux.

Les feuilles sont ovales à deltoïdes, 2,5-4 x 4-6cm, avec un sommet fortement acuminé et une base légèrement en forme de cœur, serrulées autour de leurs bords, légèrement poilues sur la face supérieure, avec une pilosité blanchâtre sur le dos.

Les inflorescences ramifiées de 10 à 30cm sont à verticilles de 3 à 6 fleurs soutenues par des bractées caduques. Les calices sont faiblement accrescents, longs de 10 à 12mm, recouverts à l'extérieur de tomentum et de viscosités. La corolle tubulaire mesure 16mm de long, nettement charnue, rouge vif, à l'intérieur du tube sans papille. Les étamines sont insérées, avec une dent pointant vers l'arrière. Le style est poilu de tous les côtés.
